YOGA TEACHING LAB: Yoga and Positive Psychology for Special Populations

  • Yoga Off East 703 9th Street Durham, NC, 27705 United States (map)

The first Yoga Teaching Lab will be offered by Jessica Cuttance on Yoga and Positive Psychology for Special Populations on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 2-4pm at Yoga Off East, Durham, NC. As a therapist and yoga teacher, Jessica will be asking questions such as: What types of special populations are you comfortable teaching and which populations do you feel are ‘out of your scope’? How can we subtly weave themes of positive psychology and healthy emotion management into the yoga classroom? How can we be more inclusive of individuals with disabilities, chronic pain, or those who have mental illness and other chronic conditions? We will end by articulating one concrete way that we will be more inclusive and universally accepting of individuals with varying mental and physical limitations in our yoga classrooms.

This session is for practicing yoga teachers only. Thank you for helping us create space for our personal and professional growth and evolution.
