On this UN International Peace Day weekend, let's come together as part of the Global Mala, an international movement for peace happening around the world. On the Fall Equinox, a day that invokes a state of balance, equanimity + harmony within nature, we will embody ritual yoga practices for unifying opposing forces within ourselves, our community and the world.
Based on the sacred number of 108, 1 representing one source, 0 signifying the cycle of life, and 8 reflecting our infinite nature, we will offer 108 Pranams or physical expressions of gratitude, humility + surrender to the earth remembering the great power that resides within peace. We will conclude by joining our voices, sharing our intentions + raising the collective vibration through 108 rounds of the mantra Lokaha Samasta Sukhinu Bhavantu - May all beings everywhere, including myself, be happy and free from suffering. This practice will be accompanied by the live percussion of Joe Westerlund to amplify our prayers.
Peace begins with YOU, and with US! Let's create space for peace within ourselves and within our community so that we contribute to the universal peace wave that Global Mala Yoga for Peace and UN International Peace Day initiate around the world.
Everybody welcome! No previous yoga experience necessary.
100% of proceeds will be donated to hurricane relief efforts to ease the suffering of our neighbors in eastern NC.
